Hello,

I keep having this issue where after while (hours of edits) the infopath
file gets corrupted somehow. "InfoPath cannot open the following file:
myschema.xsd"  I have no idea why this occuring, I'm saving often and if I
didn't have a real time backup of my PC where I can reload the forms cache
from an hour ago, I'd be dead!  Can anyone shed some light on this for me or
help me recover the schema file without having to go to a backup where data
will be lost?

Thank you!!!
PM.

Hello,

InfoPath seems to get a bit "sick" every now and again and doesn't save the
template files properly.  You should be able to get more information from the
error by clicking on the "Show Details" button.  To fix it you will need to
either restore from your backup (as you have been doing) or manually repair
the error.  To repair these types of errors, you can use the following
process:

1. Uncompress the template file
2. Repair the error
3. Recompress the template file

I've seen these issues posted a couple of times without anything available
on the web, so I've created a short set of instructions here:
