I've searched other posts but can't find a similar question to my issue.
I have a form with a data connection to a simple, one table, Access
database. The connection works fine but I'm having difficulty in adding a
file attachment control. I understand that the control must be bound to a
field with a picture or filer attachment data type, both of which appear not
to be available  in Access. My question is - is it possible to add a file
attchment control with the form connected to the Access database and, if so,
what data type do I need to allocate to the associated field in Access.

Any guidance, even if it's "can't be done, stop wasting your time!" is most
appreciated.

InfoPath only handles simple data types for database connections. If you
want more complex data types (like attachments) you will need to create or
purchase a web service that will communicate between InfoPath and your
database.
