Cannot open template; can open form. Help.

I'm new to InfoPath, but have been creating a form and now I cannot open the
teamplate, but can open the form. I've worked on it all day and kept saving
it to the same location. is there a way I can trick the form to open as a
template? It keeps saying it can't open. Of course, I need it for a meeting
tomorrow. There must be some way to couple the form with the controls or
copy/cut and paste please? Any help is appreciated. I've saved it to a
network location, not a sharepoint.

What is the exact error you are seeing? Have you tried opening it up in the
Editor and clicking on the Design button?

Oh by the way, I've opened the Form, i.e. Form1 and tried clicking on the
Design button. It's strange that the Form works, but no template available
for design.

The error message states.\: InfoPath cannot open the following form:
file:///\\sol\H-Users
adeministration\Shared%20Admin\WennSoft%20Performance%20Appraisl%20Octo%202004%20draft%20a.xsn Microsoft Office InfoPath cannot open the seleted form.
