Hallo,
i generated an infopath-form and use it as a template in a
sharepoint-documentlibary. I designed a special view for this libary, what
means, that some special fields from the infopath-template are columns in the
view. Now, when i change the template in infopath and i puplish it again in
sharepoint (only some changes in the design), my views are destroyed, i have
several views and each time, i puplish an actual version of the
infopath-template, i have to generate all views new. Somebody knows what can
solve this problem??
thanks, johannes

Hi Johannes,

Hmmmm I haven't heard of this before - are you removing any published
columns when you publish your new form?  That might affect existing views.
Or are your views not visible at all in the list of views when you go to the
settings for your list?  When you publish your form are you pointing it to
the same forms library, or are you creating a new library each time?

Sorry if these seem to be basic things, but this sounds very bizarre!

Gavin.

Thank you Gavin for answering. Yes, it sounds bizarre. I didn't remove any
published columns and i didn't change the form library. When i publish it
first, all columns from the infopath-form are visible in the view, even in
the standard view (thats normal, i think). For a better Overview I changed
the gerneral view and generated 2 special views, very simple things. I did
some very little changes in the form and published it again in exactly the
same way (same columns, same library etc). After that, all views look like
the first view, with all columns from the form visible. I tried it on two
totaly different systems with the same result. It works, but after each
update of a form i have to reorganize all views...
