Hi.

Is there a way to simulate a task pane in a web enabled InfoPath form?

I have a form tha is displayed through a XmlFormView webpart and would like
to give instructions to users how to fill the form.

thanks.

Hello,

You can simulate a task pane by adding text to the form (i.e. "how to"
content on the side).  I've also used simple show/hide information sections
that users can click to display additional help on elements of a form.

If you are talking about the standard "Office" task pane where information
appears on the right-hand side, you would need to use tables and do some
formatting to achieve that look-and-feel.

Gavin.
