Can dropdown list be editable?

I have a dropdown list that bind to a text field in the main data source. The
dropdown list also get all its values from a repeating field in the main data
source. My question is if there is way to make the dropdown list editable?
That is whether I can type in any value to the dropdown list text box which
is not already in the repeating field.

InfoPath 2007 has a new control that is an editable drop-down list box.

If you are in IP03, this sample form I wrote might prove helpful:

allow me to type in value to the text box.

You use the COMBO BOX control. This is a Editable Drop down box
