Infopath Crash and errors - 02 Nov 2004 22:43 GMT
This is in reference to Article ID 837013 which discusses about Infopath
crashing due to repeatedly click button controls that change the form content.
The workound given in the article was to modify the XSL file from <input
type="button"..../> to <input type="button" unselectable="on"..../>

But this didn't solve my problem. Infopath is still crashing and gives error
in module mshtml.dll which is discussed in the above article.
Can some one suggest a solution to the above problem.

Thanks,

Shiladitya

Can you give a couple of more details about the crash you're experiencing?
Namely:
- Do you double click on the button
- Is there a view switch as one of the button's rules or in the code

Just a little more info for this issue about what you do right before and
right after will help us point you in the right direction.

Thanks,
Brian

This is a known issue that we are working to resolve. If you double click on
a button that causes a major view refersh, especially a view switch, it may
result in a crash. Double-clicking is not necessary when clicking on
buttons, so simply clicking once will prevent the crash.

But when I don't double click then also it happens.

Try changing the button back to a normal InfoPath button.

One other possibility, are you running Windows Server 2003? I know of an
issue fixed in the latest Cumulative Security Patch that you might be
encountering. Also if you are running a non-updated version of Internet
Explorer in Windows XP you might be seeing the same issue.
