I'm a software architect in the Banking industry and we use infopath and
sharepoint a ton. It's really easy to develop infopath forms. You don't need
a person with developer experionce to get some really good functionality.
When you tie it with SharePoint it takes the dba out of the picture as well.
Big cost savings!

As the developer of InfoView (ww.infoview.net) [trying to be honest about this] we are seeing a lot of organizations looking at standardizing on the Microsoft platform.
Electronic forms is one key area where the use of InfoPath is being investigated by many orgs...as it complements SPS/WSS well and of course it ships with Office 2003 PE so most orgs see a low cost to it.
TCO including cost of development is a key component as well as cost of product. It depends whether your organization is moving towards a MS platform or not.

Mike,
We are alo using SharePoint, but seem to have hit a wall on connecting
InfoPath to existing SharePoint Lists, do you guys use InfoPath as a
"front-end" to SharePoint Lists or use InfoPath through a form library and
extract the data?
Any direction is appreciated,
Mark
