i have windows 98, it was given to me so i can learn and become a
transcriptionist.  I can't find any spell or grammer checks.  If there isnt
any what can i get to help me without spending a lot of money.  the sales
person at staple said i would have to upgrade to windows 2000 or windows xp
than install another program such as word or something like it that added up
to more than i can afford right now.  thanks for the help as you can see i am
new to this and am tring to get back into the work force

The Windows OS does not have built-in spell checking. You will need an application, such as Microsoft Word, for that.
