It seems the default when emailing InfoPafth forms using "file / send to mail
recipient " is to attach the form to the email and embed the form in the body
of the email.  Is there a way to only have InfoPath attach the form  when
using "file/ send to mail recipient"?

thanks!

Using the file/send... option does not seem to have adjustable properties.
What I have done is written code to the form that runs
XDocument.UI.ShowMailItem  whose default is to attach the document to the
email only. Depending on your form you can use a button or assign the task
to the submit form options, or under the Tools menu, Programming option you
can select one of several options there.
