Question: How to submit infopath form to WebService containing any element

Hi,

I have a webservice expecting an XML that contains a 'any' element,
meaning it can contain any kind of XML in the node.

If I design an infopath form based on XML schema expected by the Web
Service, it generates a form without the detailed XML I want to send in
infopath (just the barebone any element).

Can I create a infopath form contaiing detailed xml in the 'any'
element section - after I designed it based on the xml schema from teh
webservice? I can't seem to add anything to the infopath form, it keeps
trying to bind it to the XML schma node/element and complain not able
to bind.

Or alternatively should I create a schema same as the one expected by
the Webservice - but have the 'any' element overwritten by whatever XML
I want to send - then submit the whole form to the WS, assuming I will
then have to write some scripts for submit.

What's the easiest way to do this?

thanks.

Michael,

This is a forum dedicated to MS-Project questions. You will have better luck
in trying with one of the XML forums.

Thanks

Check out this MSDN article:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/odc_ip2003_ta/h
tml/ODC_INFInfoPathXSD.asp

It contains info about which XSD contructs that are unsupported and
guidelines for how to auther XSD for InfoPath.
