how do I put an unbound dropdown box on a form in InfoPath?

I am trying to set up cascading dropdown boxes on an InfoPath form. I don't
care to save the value from the first box but it won't let me put an unbound
control on the form.
Any help will be appreciated.

Unfortunately, dropdown controls have to be bound to a field in order to
work.
