Hi,

I'm currently looking at using IP for a project that I'm doing but would like to know whether there is any way of passing some data to IP (similar to a http get or something) in order to set some initial values.  The reason that I want to do this is that I have a sharepoint site with a web part that finds some customer data and I want to be able to open one of several IP forms to apply for products on their behalf.  I ideally need to either pass the information to IP so that on loading it can include the already discovered customer information rather than make the agent retype it.  An alternative (given that I'm using Biztalk as well) would be to start the relevant application process from SP and then get IP to retrieve the data from the BT process but even in this case I need to pass some kind of correlation information to enable the data retrieval to take place.

Is this possible in any way?

Thanks !

Ian

The Recruiting Accelerator has a web part for interviewers and candidates
with a button that when clicked generates an xml document by serializing
data from a backend database. By sticking an InfoPath PI in the XML,
Internet Explorer will automatically launch InfoPath form with the data from
the backend. If you have the data in your web part, then it should be easy
to implement a similar solution.

Check out the Recruiting Accelerator at:
