Hi
Im having trouble opening one of my infopath forms in design mode. I saved a
backup copy as something else and now neither the original or the copy will
open in design. The error says that infopath cannot access the file, even
though its looking in the correct folder.
Any suggestions?

Hi Taryn,

Are you simply right-clicking on the XSN and choosing Design? If so, it
sounds like something may be corrupted in one of the files that comprise
the XSN - have you recently made changes to the XSN?

If you have made changes and can remember what those were, you may be able
to do this:

- Right-click on the XSN and open it with WinZip
- Extract the files to a folder of your choice
- Test right-clicking on Manifest.XSF and choosing Design - what happens?

You may need to open some of the files with, say, Notepad and manually
"undo" the changes that you last implemented.

Best regards,

Scott L. Heim
