Hi Tim,

Hope that you make backups that you can roll back to...  If not, make a
backup now, open the form, and start removing your work (a few controls at a
time).  As soon as the error is gone, you know that the error is in the last
batch of controls that you just removed.  Then, go back to your backup,
remove these specific control(s) and rebuild them from scratch.

Hard way, but the only way.....

Pardon me if I'm stating the obvious here, but when I've encountered this
problem I've performed a hard reboot and that has resolved the issue about
80% of the time.  For the other 20% it could be an issue with a control or a
default value that doesn't agree with the control type if you change the type
of a control.  If your using a secondar data source I would try refreshing
that also.

HTH,

Jay

Thanks for the comments...I went to another machine and the error was
reported by infopath as an event without a control....sheesh....I am not sure
why the error caused the "MS encountered problem" dialog..but I was able to
resolve it...It seems that the Infopath processing should deal with this a
bit better.
