Using xdExtension inside default value formula

Hi All,

I am successfully using xdExtension:MyFunction() syntax inside InfoPath
rules.  I've tried using the same technique inside field default value
formulae and I see the following error message:

Reference to undeclared namespace prefix: 'xdExtension'.

-->xdExtension:GetUserName()<--

Is there a trick I'm missing to achieve what I'm trying or is this not
possible?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Hi Mark,

Basically, you are trying to set the default value of a node by code
(calling a function).  Why don't you call that function on form load and set
the node value there?

Thanks Franck,

That exactly what I ended up doing.  Does that mean that it is NOT possible
to use the xdExtension:MyFunction() syntax inside field default value
formulae?

Mark

You can do it, just not from the designer... you must manually enter it into the XSL in the right place.
