Hi,

I have writtien a new form based on the Absence Request sample that
calculates Bradford Score. This calculation is based on the number of
absences and amount of time off.

However, the calculation only uses the absences within the last year. The
problem then comes when the form hasn't been opened for several weeks and the
information published back to the SharePoint list is out of date.

Is there a way opening automating the opening and refreshing of data within
an infopath form?

Kind regards,
Martyn...

The InfoPath SDK contains information about automating InfoPath so you could
write a program that would open the form and refresh the data.  Just be aware
that if there are a large number of entries this might not perform very well.

Hi Jay,

Thanks. That sounds like just what i'm after. However, i've had a quick look
in the SDK and cannot seem to find anything useful. I found information on
command line parameters to open the file, but not how to save it. Also, I
think that command lines might be a little old-hat.

Can you point me in the right direction.

Cheers,
Martyn...

Hi Martyn,

Have you looked at:

tml/odc_INF_Lab_01.asp

to start?

Thanks Franck - I now have a schedules task that loads the forms and saves
them. This is ideal.

Cheers.

Hi Martyn,

I am glad that Lab 16 on External Automation could help.
If my last post was useful, don't hesitate to rate it.

Good luck with your InfoPath developments.
