Hi

I just published to sharepoint from infopath and i get the following
Error message.

Infopath cannot open the following file: Form.xml

The following form template for the form cannont be found.
File:///C:\Documents%and%settings\rolson\local%20settings\application%20data\Microsoft\Infopath\designer\1c13a68838244f1\fanifest.xsf

I am new to using Infopath so any help would be great.

Hi,

You need to get the xsn with which the xml was generated on your machine.

The Form.xml should have been generated with an InfoPath template (hopefully
that template was saved as Something.xsn).  You need to put that template on
your machine..
Did you generate that Form.xml, or someone else did?  Whoever generated that
xml needs to give you the template.

The form and template are on my Computer.  I published it to a
Sharepoint Form library.  People can fill out form but when it is
submitted to the supervisor via email it is erroring out on there
computer. Do I need to put it on her computer to make it work
correctly?

Second Question.  Is there a difference between saving it as a form or
as a template?

Thanks for the help.

Yes, to open a form (XML), you need the template (XSN) on the user's machine.
Either you install it there or it can be cached from Sharepoint.

Good luck
