Hi, I've installed the VSTO for VS2005 and Office 2003, and all the project
templates are available EXCEPT the Infopath template, which is the one that I
wanted to use!!!

I've checked that I've got the latest service pack for Infopath, and I have,
so I can't figure it out!!! I also installed the 'FULL' installation of the
VSTO, so I'm not missing anything at all.

I can't find any resources that detail this problem, I hope some can help!

Thanks in advance

Hey,
first I would try re installing VSTO, unlike 2003 the InfoPath template is
not maintained in it's own node in the project selector list you will find it
under

Programming Language(C# or Visual Basic)>Office

Hi,
If you want get Infopath template, you must install  "Microsoft office
infopath 2003 Toolkit for visual studio" after vsto installation,

I Hope this will help you.

Hi guys,

Ben, I did reinstall VSTO first, as I'd been working with VS2005 whilst
installing and figured that it might have caused a problem with project
template deployment or something.  Unfortunately, as Ramana pointed out, the
Infopath toolkit appears not to be a part of the VSTO package - which is most
helpful.

Most frustrating that the portal page for Infopath development implies that
the infopath toolkit is part of the VSTO download.

After much searching I found it on MSDN subscriptions under the title
"InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for Visual Studio Tools for Office 2005 (English)".  A
lousy 7mb ISO image that should be part of the VSTO package.

If I say it enough times in this post, then perhaps someone who's able to
change the installer package might read it and make the change to avoid
frustration for others in the future!

Thanks guys.

I've got the same problem. I've installed the SDK and VSTO and still
don't have the InfoPath template for 2003. It does show 2007, but not
2003.

Hi Ramana,
I found your post at the below url:
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.infopath/browse_thread/thread/cf
659fa107165c6d/89c7961059bd6969?lnk=gst&q=infopath+2003&rnum=2&hl=en

I am too stuck by this issue. I have installed the VSTO, but when I
install the Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for Visual
Studio .Net
I get an error which says:

"A Microsoft Office 2003 InfoPath project for Visual Studio .Net 2003
requires an edition of Visual Studio that includes Visual Basic .Net
or C#.
It also requires Microsoft Office 2003 InfoPath SP1."

I have Microsoft Office 2003 InfoPath SP2 and Visual Studio 2005. Any
idea as to how to get ahead of this hurdle.

To give you my background about the form.
I have a Infopath 2003 form with several rules written to handle the
views and Submit.
Now I need to implement code to pull the current user's manager
emailID by putting some code in the "Edit Form Code" buttom which is
just above the "Rules" button on the button properties.
But when I click on "Edit Form Code" button it says:
"Visual Studio must be used to add business logic to this form
template. Please close this form template and open the Visual Studio
project for it."

Then if I start Visual Studio 2005, I can't see any project template
for InfoPath 2003.
So I was trying to follow your post to install the requireds.
I hope I can get a quick response from you as I have already spent the
whole day yesterday, and am really getting frustated.

Choudhary,

Did you find a solution for your error message?

I am having the same problem.  I have InfoPath 2003 SP2 and the Microsoft
Office InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for VS .NET will not install.

Terry
