Hi, i am creating my first infopath application. The
database is in SQL server and infopath will be used to
create data entry forms. I could just follow instructions
to create a form 'from data connection ...'. However i am
wondering if i could do something else; like in Access, i
could make connection to the SQL server in codes. Is there
a way i can do it in infopath. Is there any books or web
sites i can check out. Thanks.

you will find an answer to your question on this page:

http://www.infopathfaq.com/development.asp?page=3

with sp1 for infopath and visualstudio 2003 you can create formulars which
can do everything vs2003 can, but dont forget about the security levels in
infopath sp1
