Hello:

I'm new to InfoPath and am exploring its functionality.  I am curious
whether you can filter the value of a drop-down based on the value selected
in a previous drop-down?

Thanks!

Yes, you can, but things can get tricky if the drop-downs are within a
repeating table or section. Take a look at the "List" tutorials on
InfoPathDev.com to get started, for example this one:

Thank you S.Y.M.  That is a beautiful Website and very helpful.  I have
printed that lesson and will study.

I had posted one other question here and that was how to have a "Submit"
event close InfoPath when the Submit is successful.  The only option under
Submit Options that's close is closing the form.  I actually want the
application to close so as not to confuse the users.

Thank you again!

S.Y.M.

I'm having trouble with Steps 3 and 4 under the "Create the Schema" section.
It says to create a group named "Vehicles," which I did.  Then it says to
select Vehicles and add a repeating group named "Vehicle."  How do you do
that?  When I right-click on Vehicles and select "Add" the only option that
comes up is an attribute Field, which then doesn't let me add fields to it.
How do you creat a repeating group?

Thanks.

Sorry.  No sooner than I posted that message did I figure out.  I'm good so
far.  Thanks.

No problem. :)  Deb, if you use tutorials from the infopathdev.com website,
it's better to post your question in the forum on their website, since the
people who wrote those tutorials are present in the forum and know better
than I do how their solutions work.
