I have tried to script in VB and in Java and not of it works. I think I do
not have the scripting environment setup right. Functions that should be
working (both VB and Java) simply do not work. The runtime doesn't reconize
them. Is there a library I need to include? If yes, how do I include the
library? Please help me setup the Microsoft Script Editor so I can finally
get some work done.

To my knowledge you needn't do anything special to use the Scripting Editor.
The first time you try to access it and it's not installed on your box, you
are prompted to install it. What do you mean with "The runtime does not
recognize the functions"? Are you getting error messages?
