Are you using the standard Master/Detail control that comes with InfoPath or
did you create your own Master/Detail functionality as outlined in this
solution:
http://enterprise-solutions.swits.net/infopath/master-detail-across-views.htm
?
In any case, it sounds like you need to add a filter for the data on the car
view. If you're using a repeating section that is bound, you have a "Filter
Data" option. Have you already tried adding filters there?

Hi,
Thank you for your reply. I have used the standard Master/Detail
functionality of Infopath. I have tried to use data filters. I have entered
EmployeeID=EmployeeID where the first EmployeeID is from the car table and
the second employeeID is from the employee table. However it still returns
all the values. This indicates that he will look up the EmployeeID in the
master section of the master/detail functionality. This is the reason why
Infopath returns all the values based on the query. If i enter a first name
(Dan) Infopath will return all the Dan's he can find in the master section
of the master/detail functionality.
I hope someone can find a solution for this problem.
Kind regards,
