How do I display the current user?

I want to create a drop down box that lists all users (I am creating a
trouble ticketing system) and I want the current user to show first.  How do
I accomplish that?

Where does the "current user" information come from? From your
database? From the operating system's user account? Somewhere else?

The same problem to me. In may case in the operating system.
