New to Infopath and really need help. I have data coming from a local Access
database. I want to type in a serial number of a piece of industrial
equipment in an infopath form and have it autofill all corresponding data
from the database (relating to this piece of equipment) into this form
filling out all of the other fields for me.

Any SIMPLE way to do this ?

Thank you !

Essentially very simple

1)you make the serial number text box a queryfield and put a button on the
form to search.  make the rest of the forms fields datafields from the
database and Bob is your uncle.

or 2)You could make it more automatic and remove the button and set each
other field to display the information it is meant to be displaying where
(using filter) the serial number equals the serial number at the top of the
form from your access database.  Ask me for help at
adam.harding@ltsbasset.co.uk

I would recommend 1) to get used to it and then after you have got it
working start working on 2).

Cheers Adam
