I have designed a form for an employee to send me , via email, data weekly. I
cannot open the file on his pc as it trys to open the path on my pc. We both
have infopath 2003 with sp2 installed. I have read on this forum that when i
publish the form i can publish the template also to his pc, but i cannot work
out how to do it.
Any help would be apreciated

Thanks

Hi the security message reads:

Insufficient security privilege

This form cannot be opened because it requires domain security level and is
only allowed restricted security level. Based on the information in the form,
the file should be located at ......(file on my pc).........in order to open
with correct security level.

Thanks for any help

Hi

you need to put the TEMPLATE to somewhere you can BOTH access ie a fileshare
somewhere.  This is because on opening, the form checks with its template to
see what is going on.  If it doesn't have access it will not open.  Puting it
somewhere public will prevent this form happening.  Make sure you publish it
there though and the user has full access rights to your domain.  If they
cannot be granted access you may need to make your form fully-trusted to help
this person out.

Cheers Adam

I hope this helps

can you please explain the difference between "form" and "template" as you
used it below ?
Thanks

You must see a "template" as the blueprint of a "form". It contains
everything (code, styles, etc.) for a form to be displayed and filled out.

I don't have a file share option as the form i designed is on my laptop and
i need to put another on an employees laptop so that they can send info back
to me via email.
Isn't there just an option to publish the form, save the template and put
both the form and the template on his pc. I have tried this with the above
error occourring!

Any ideas?
