Hi,

I developed an Infopath form using Managed code (c#) and deployed it on to a
sharepoint site. I was able to access and create forms but when a user tried
to open the form, he got the following message. I am not sure what should I
do to fix the issue. Please help.

InfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code.

The Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is not installed on your computer or the
InfoPath primary interop assembly (PIA) is not registered. Use Add or Remove
Programs in Control Panel to make sure that Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is
installed or install it using Windows Update, then run Setup again to confirm
that .NET Programmability Support is installed, or contact your system
administrator.

Another question,

Do users need to have .net framework on their machine to be able to use
managed code in Infopath.

thanks in advance.

Amar,
Yes they will need the following installed on their machine to use an
InfoPath Form with managed code

InfoPath
Infopath Service pack 1
.net framework 1.1 or 2.0 (note if the form has been developed using VS2003
then 1.1 will be required if it has been developed using VS2005 then 2.0 will
be required)

Hope this Helps

Cheers
Ben Walters

I would install the .NET Framework 1.1 or 2.0 and then run the downloaded
O2003PIA.EXE file on the PC.  I did this on a couple machines and it worked
fine.
