Copying Fields from Another Form

Is there a way to copy data fields from an external form back into the
calling form? I'd plan to have a button to open a seperate lookup form (I
already know how to do this) and another button to copy specific fields back
to corresponding fields in the calling form. Is this kind of form data
transfer possible?

Thanks,
mikeg
