Hi All,

I have 2 dropdowns in my Infopath forms by names Country and department.

Each country have a set of diff departments.
Master data is set up in sharepoint list corresponding to each Country and
department.

for e.g I have below sharepoint list
US Department List
UK Department List
China Department List
(Each list are maintained by diff users)

When US is selected as country we need to populate department dropdown with
data from US Department sharepoint list.

When UK is selected as country we need to populate department dropdown with
data from UK Department sharepoint list.

How do i dynamically change the datasource of department dropdown based on
value selected in
Country dropdown.

Kindly help me.
Thanks in advance.

I think you need to make few changes on your SharePOint list. Here is what
you need to do -
1. One SharePoint List for Country.
2. One SharePoint List for Departments and use the Country list as one of
the fields in your list. If you need help on doing this please let me know
and I can guide you on this one. You can use another list as field on the
list.
3. Create your dropdowns on InfoPath Forms.
4. On your InfoPath Department Dropdown set filters.

Let me know if the above makes sense.

Thanks,

Hi Ameet,

thanks for your response.
But this will not work out for me bcz US HR will be responsible for US
department list and UK HR will be responsible for UK department list.
US HR will not have access for UK department list.

Pls advice....
