I have an advanced applciation with many views, rules, and bits of validation
and conditional formatting.

I seem to have some upon a problem.  I am at a stage that if i try to add
another conditional format and OK out save and close the template then open
up again the conidtional format has disappeared.

Hence my question is, Is there an upper limit on the number of Conditional
Formattings you can have?

Plus is there a way around it.

Hello Adam,
I found a similar issue when my form used 18 views with 4 template parts
and in total about 30 fields on each view.  However, from my recollection
the problem was one of template parts.
You might like to try it without template parts (unless like me that would
be an evil thought!)... I eventually completely re-designed my form to no
longer use that many views and no template parts.
cheers

Hello Adam,
Not sure what a "temple" part is.....
But a template part is a "form template section" which can't be used as it's
own form but can be used within multiple forms.  Handy if you have multiple
forms that use the same fields over & over again.

OK fair point my typing should be more accurate but i think you are talking
about sections.  if i did not use sectinos i would have to design 6 or so
separate forms so i am kinda stuck with them.  Any other ideas?

Hello Adam,
nope, sections are a very different animal.
If you go to "File/Design a form template" you will see 2 radio buttons,
one for Form Template and one for Template Part, this is where you can decide
what kind of thing you want to design.
But as I said before they didn't work very well for me as I was repeatedly
adding the same template parts to many views and this seemed to screw it
up somewhat.
Are you using 2007 Beta2 TR?  if so, do you have access to the Beta newsgroup?
You might like to try posting there as you will then get some Microsoft
people who can respond.

cheers

sorry, my mistake, when I first responded I got confused and thought I was
still in the beta newsgroup.  I am indeed using 2007.
Maybe someone that knows 2003 can respond?
I've only used 2007...
cheers
