There doesn't seem to be a lot of information on how to use InfoPath with
Webservice - at least, anything that gives a complete "how-to" example.

I would like to post information to 2 tables - one table is for employee
info and the second table is for dependent (spouse/children) information.
The form has a single table section for the employee info and the dependent
information is in a repeating section.  HOW do you post that to a database??

Thanks for any help!

Ok - either InfoPath really sucks - or the documentation really REALLY sucks.
There is absolutely poor documentation on InfoPath...and this is both
depressing and frustrating.  On the one hand - InfoPath hold so much
promise...but it is very difficult to do more than just a simple record
update/retrieve.

How can I sumbit a parent-child record dataset?  For example Table 1 has
Employee demographic information - and Table 2 is linked to Table 1 by the
EmployeeID and contains information about the Employee Dependents.

I can create a form with a repeating section (for Table 2) and the employee
demog (Table 1)...BUT HOW DO YOU SAVE IT TO THE DATABASE???

Either it is very difficult - or Infopath is not designed for this type of
functionality.

BIG Thanks for any InfoPath GURU that can help me with this!

Hi Kevin:

I am having the same parent:child issue on my form.  Where you able to
resolve this?

Thanks,

Kathy

I found this link which might help:

http://www.infopathfaq.com/development.asp?page=2

look for:  INFOPATHFAQ010127 - How do I send an element with repeating
children to a web service?

I hope this helps.
