Hi,

I have Infopath form that submits to a Sharepoint form library. After
submitting the form, is it possible to retrieve the system generated ID of
that form for later use?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Noel,

If you create a data connection to  your form library where you are
publishing your form, you can retreive a list of any of the columns exposed
there. I am not too sure what you mean by the System generated ID, but if its
a column you can retreive it. If you want to retreive the ID of the form you
are working on, you will can filter the field to show the ID using the
filename that you saved the form with, as this has to be unique.

hope this helps,

Hello John,

I didnt use any data connection, only the default data source of Infopath.
And I directly submits this form to a sharepoint (form library).

The "System generated ID" i'm referring... is the unique number sharepoints
assigned on each new form/item created in the form library.

My objective is to retrieve this id after clicking the
"submit"/xdocument.submit" from the form.

Thanks again!

Noel
