Hello,

I am looking for step-by-step instructions on how to modify a forms
underlying data structure without changing the versioning, since the
modified form must work with the many existing content files.

The infopath form is published to a sharepoint web site. I have extracted
the files and modified the xsd. What is the next step, and how to get it
back in sharepoint (sws)  without changing the versioning?

Thanks,

Keith

When you go to SharePoint Forms Library follow these steps to modify the form -
1. Click on Modify Settings and Columns.
2. Under Template - you will see the template xsn file. At the end you will
see a link to Edit the template.
3. Click on the link. It will open up the xsn file. Make any modifications
you want on the template.
4. Save the form. It will be republished to the forms library again.

Please let me know if the above helps you out.
Thanks,
