InfoPath data connection problem

I can not create a form with a SQL Server (2005) database data connection.
When trying to look at another user's form, I get errors such as:

The following DataObject either cannot be created or cannot be
initialized:Employee
The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: Employee
InfoPath cannot run the specified query.
InfoPath cannot connect to the data source.
The connection cannot be created. Make sure that you have ADO version 2.5 or
later installed.

Also, when I create my own blank form, I get a similar ADO error when trying
to add my own SQL Server data connection.

This seems to be a recent behavior, and has also occured on other computers
in my network, but not all.

Any help?
Thanks

After 2 days, I have still been unable to fix this problem. I have
reinstalled InfoPath, SQL Server 2005, and Microsoft Office in hopes to
revert some rogue setting that I changed. It is still simply acting as if any
database connection is not possible at all.
