Hi,

I'm trying to track down a weird problem which may not be caused by
InfoPath, but rather Sharepoint or something else, but in case someone has
encountered something similar, I'd be happy to hear about it.

We have an IP form published to a Sharepoint library and access the form
directly via url
http://server/site/lib/forms/ipform.xsn

On this form we have a task pane which starts a workflow and closes the
form with a Submit button.  In the task pane there is also a Close button
which just closes the form.

If the user clicks Submit, the next time he uses the url to open a new
form, the form he submitted will open.  If he clicks Close, the next time
he uses the url a new form opens up.

Somehow the submitted form is cached and used when opening the next IP
form, but the closed form is not.

Do any of you have an idea of where the caching occurs, and how to prevent
it?

You need to go to your form library and pass around the hyperlink for
the Fill out form button. It may be a javascript. I don't remember. If
thats the case, then you have to give them a link to the form librry
and they'll have to click the fill out form themselves.

I have a feeling that because your linking them directly to the XSN,
its pulling up the last open form. The XSN is just a template for the
original form.

Let me know if this works. I may have a few more ideas.

Hi Josh,

I can't use a link to the library as the link is also meant to fill the
form using information in the url.  And opening the form from the library
instead of directly using the .xsn didn't seem to make much difference.

I believe InfoPath is doing some caching, but I haven't had the time to
explore this issue further.
