Currently our organization uses MS Access to track work, together with MS
Word (for generating work scheduling forms) and GroupWise (for distribution
of scheduling forms).

When a new job is created, Access (in background through vb coding) opens a
scheduling template in Word, fills in necessary job background data, saves
the template as a document, emails the document to the job manager, job
managers opens the document and fills in target schedule and emails document
back to Access database, and Access inputs data from document into the
scheduling table.  MS Word has certain limitations in form design which we
are trying to overcome through use of Infopath.

So far it has been pretty straight forward in form design to get requested
schedule information on the form.  What has not been so straight forward is
including basic descriptive information from the database, such as Job
Number, Job Title, Manager Name, etc., on the form as read only text.  None
of the Infopath how to books or the sample forms included with Infopath had
an example.  

How do you take data from Access, such as the Job Number, and display it on
the Infopath form (read only)?  All of the job data (job description and job
scheduling) are in the same table in Access.
