InfoPath 2007: Making the entire form read only except one section

I saw that there is now the option in 2007 to make the entire form read
only which is a real nice feature.  I don't think this helps with what
I am trying to accomplish.  I need the entire form to be read only
except one section.  With the new option either its the whole thing or
none.  I can't figure out how to get it to do read only except this
section.  I selected read only for the whole form then set a field as
read only but it doesn't negate the form level setting(it was a long
shot).  Do I no longer have the ability to make sections read only in
2007?  If I could, then I'd put everything else in a section and make
it read only.  I'd really like to avoid making each single control read
only as it's a fairly complicated form.  Any suggestions as to how I so
should go about this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Mike

Interesting table from the infopath help related to the topic.  My form
does need to be filled out using the browser.  Still  looking for a
solution to the above issue.

Control, Option, Available for browser-compatible form templates?

Rich text box Read-only Yes
Text box  Read-only Yes
Option button Disable Yes
