Can InfoPath handle drop down boxes where multiple items can be selected,
like Front Page?
Ishai Sagi - 14 Feb 2007 23:13 GMT
Frontpage has that? I never knew. a drop down that allows multiselect is very
non standard. usualy we use listboxes instead.

Anyway, out of the box Infopath has a "Multiple Seelction List" which is
rendered as a list of checkboxes. However, you can develop and use your own
activeX control instead .

I remember you once saying that you were still using InfoPath 2003? InfoPath
2003 does not have a multi-select list box out-of-the-box, only InfoPath 2007
does. And you needn't create an ActiveX control yourself to get this
functionality in InfoPath 2003; just follow the instructions in this post:

S.Y.M,
note that he asked for a multiselect *dropdown* and not a listbox. that is
why I replied as I did.

Ishai,
Your answer was partly correct for InfoPath 2007.

Thanks

following that procedure worked perfectly, albeit awkward to program
