I used infopath 2007 to revise the design of an xsn file created with
infopath 2003. I published it back to the shared network folder. When
I open it in design mode with infopath 2003, it shared that all views
are protected and opens a blank template. Once a template is opened
and altered with infopath 2007, is there anyway to continue design
changes with infopath 2003?

If you did not make any IP07 specific changes, then you can save the template back out as an IP03 template.
