How to handle a flat dataset

I have a dataset that is pretty much flat.  When I create a new Infopath form
based on a web service that returns the dataset, I get the "choice" node
below the dataset.  Since this is a flat db, I really want a single instance
of each table in the dataset in my form.

Seems I can't change the properties of the repeating sections once I import.
Do I need to change the XML in my web service?  Is there a specific
operation that I need to perform?
TIA.

I should have clarified that my form will be looking at a single record at a
given time; as if in a timesheet app or something like that.
