I have a tricky security issue that i could use some help with.  I
have an InfoPath form that is published to a SharePoint site.  The
code behind the form is written in VB, using Visual Studio.  To
determine the user's ID it uses the Environment variable, the code
also sends email (not sure if any of this is relevant but i thought
i'd mention it).

Everything works fine for all the user that belong to our
organization.  However, now i need to allow a user from another
organization in.  The user can sign- on to SharePoint, but when  he
tries to open the form he gets the following error:

"Your user name or group membership cannot be verified because the
form's security settings do not permit it."

The error must have something to do with permissions, but I don't have
a clue as to how to fix this, besides signing the form with a
certificate, which i don't want to do unless i have to.

any ideas?

What is the security level for your form?

just to follow up....   i have it set to domain.  it turns out all i
needed to do was have the user enter the name of the SharePoint site
in the Intranet Zone in the security tab of IE.  That allowed him to
open the form.  Interestingly, in order for InfoPath User Roles to
work with someone outside our domain, all i had to do was enter the
User ID and domain the user uses to sign on Windows (ie GOV\John
Doe).  Works fine. don't need to add him to our AD or anything......

along with "Conditiional Formatting" which points to the User Role
Group. Uses are in the same Domain. I have not found a fix yet.  Can
anyone help?
