How can i get Infopath to let me design a form?

I have infopath (I've never used it before) I want to use a sample form to
degisn a form, but all the design/edit options are greyed out or hidden, is
there anything i can do?

You need to open your sample form in Design mode. To do that, you can:
1- go in the folder where your sample is, and right click, choose design,
dont choose open
2- if you have already opened it and all stuff is grey, you should have a
option Modify This Form (something like that dont know exaclty the
prononciation, my software is not in english)
