I have a column with 721 values.  I placed Auto-filter in the row just above
the data.  There are no blank rows among my rows of data.  However, the
drop-down shows NO values.

The workbook is not shared or protected.

what do you recommend?

thanks in advance!!  Jane

If you remove the data|filter|autofilter, then select the entire range to be
filtered and reapply the data|Filter|autofilter, does it work ok?

I never let excel guess at the range to filter, sort, chart, ...

It doesn't always guess what I want.

HI Dave and Peo,
Your suggestion worked.

The weird thing is that I have always applied auto-filter in that manner I
did and have never had  a problem.

Oh well, perhaps, on of those days.

thanks so much for the help! :) jane

Remove the filter, put a header on top, then select all 722 rows header
included and then apply the filter. Still the same?
