I would like to be able to pull user entered numerical data from within a
calendar in excel and manipulate it outside of the calendar. Any ideas?

without knowing more about exactly what you are doing, I can only suggest,
try linking the excel calendar into an access database.  You will not be able
to change the data in the calendar, but you will be able to process it and do
manipulations.  In an open access database, from the file menu, click
External Data->link tables.
