How can I protect a worksheet in a way that the user can use the checkboxes I
have made but can't delete them?

I have now tried to use the protection function with leaving certain cells
that I want available for user, but this disables the checkboxes. I can't
find a way to protect the worksheet with still enabling the use of the
checkboxes. I'm using the Excel 2003.

How about unlocking the cell links associated with the checkboxes, then protect
the worksheet?
