how do i save a excel 2007 file as .dbf

i am in a GIS class and in one of the task it says to save a file that i have
uploaded into a *.dbf file. but the excel 2007 version does not give me this
option. is it possible to do so or is this option only available to the
previous excel versions?

You would need to export it to Access first, THEN to dbf.
