Excel 2007 Graphs - Series Formating

I am creating a scatter graph from a Pivot Table sheet of values and while
all points from 4 separate series are correctly plotted, when I select a
particular series to create a least-squares line, not all points of the
series appear selected. When I select one of the points that is not properly
highlighted it does not select any other points in the series - appears to be
completed un-connected from the series.

Stumped.

Single-click once on a series, and the entire series is selected, even if
not all points are highlighted. Single click again and you will select just
the one point. When in doubt, check what is showing in the top control of
the Current Selection chunk of the Chart Tools > Layout or Chart Tools >
Format tab. Better yet, use this control to select the series.
