In a spreadsheet converted to version 2007, the column letters changed to
column numbers.  The rows and columns are now identified with numbers.  I
have never seen this in a spreadsheet and am wondering if this can be
converted back and why it happened.

Hi

This is done through the set up of your spreadsheet

in Excel click on Tools
Then Option
On the "General Tab" make sure that there in not a tick in the R1C1
option and that should change the spreadsheets back
