If I have a worksheet where there is a trend column that uses inserted
symbols (eg arrows) to show the trend, how do I get that symbol to show in
another worksheet that has a formula to return data from a specific cell (eg
the one with the symbol in it).

Any help is gratefully received!

If we put the # symbol in cell A1 and format as Wingdings 3 we see an up-arrow.

In another sheet:

=Sheet1!A1
will also display an up-arrow if the font is the same.
