deleting number and alphabet rows and coluns

Thank you Roger.  However, I am using Excel 2007 and it has NO "Find" in the
toolbar.  Is it hidden?  It won't show up in "more", either.

No need to start a new thread as we have no idea what you are referring to.
If it is just finding something in the worksheet, you can press Ctrl+F or
find is on the Home tab in the editing group (far right)
